Windows98 platform.

EPROMER6_1054.ZIP FULL
PACKAGE
|
3.6 MBytes Oct/13/2003 |
epromer6_1054.zip
- version 1.0.54 This is the Full Installation package for
Epromer6 software. This BETA version, is the PHOENIX from the
Epromer5 ashes. It supports Epromer4, Epromer5 and Epromer6 boards
being already distributed. This version identifies and adapts
itself for any of those 3 boards. There are hardware modifications
from one board to another, the software needs to know it.
This
version 1.0.54 supports Eeproms 24C08, 24C16 and 24C32 Flash
units are not available in this version yet (Use Epromer5 version
above) Improved better programming algoritms for Eproms 2732
to 27C801 (4k to 1MegaByte). The new algoritm serves better eproms
from many different manufacturers. The new routines in this
version runs much better than the old ones in the Epromer5N version
above. If you are running the Epromer and don't need flash
capabilities (for a while), this is the best version to use.
Basic
change from board Epromer5 to Epromer6 is the hardware to support
2716 eproms. If you already installed the Epromer5 Full package
above, you don't need to run this Installation Package, just copy
the bare executable file below to the same Epromer5 directory (epromer6ac.exe).
You can have both versions in the same directory, but
don't run both versions at the same time - unexpected results can
happens.
Epromer6 software version can drive either EPROMER4,
EPROMER5 or EPROMER6 boards.

epromer6ah.exe
- version 1.0.67 This is the Latest Executable file for the package
Epromer6_1060.zip above.
If
you have the Epromer5 package installed and wish to have the Epromer6
version, copy this file into the same Epromer5 directory. All
the other files from Epromer5 will serve well this Epromer6. In
case of not working, download and install the full epromer6_1060.zip
package
above, then copy this file into the same directory. This should
be the file to be running, not the file supplied at the zip above. Epromer6 software version can drive either EPROMER4,
EPROMER5 or EPROMER6 boards.
1.0.67
Latest Updates:
CheckSumm
is now automatically at the System Window, for reading files and
chips. Control Panel received some user-friendly changes. Releasing
of programming routines for AMD FLash Units. Correction for the
premature ending during Flash Erase Sequence. Implementing a
new Message Box when an error happens. Correcting from 14 to
16 information lines at Hexa/Ascii WIndow. Xicor and Atmel AT29C256
routines implemented.
We
are releasing more and more flash units routines starting at version
1.0.65.
This
EPROMER6AG.EXE version support some AMD Flash Units, as the AM29F010,
AM29F020 and AM29F040. In some WIndows XP and 2000, the Epromer6
boards require to install a small capacitor of 4700pF between
pin #1 of the DB25 connector and Ground. Without it, the Epromer6
can't recognize some AMD flash units. In doubt contact our
technical support (support@ustr.net).

LATEST Released VERSION

|
epromer6aj.exe
- version 1.0.68 This is the Latest Executable file for the package
Epromer6_1060.zip above. If your computer is slower than
1Ghz, then install the Epromer6ah.exe instead.
The
main change in this version is speed. As computers speed went
very much faster and use clock algorithms not recognized by the
Epromer routines, we included time consuming routines to allow faster
computers to work around lazy chips. The operation still the
same, the speed lever now try to adjust better speed ratio. For
faster computers use speed lever to position between 1 and 8. Speed
it up as it works fine. Some chips works at any speed, but others
do not.
We
receive a report that some programming failures could be bypassed
if you reselect the chip after loading the binary file from the
hard-disk. This report suggest that loading the binary file
change in some way the chip selected parameters, so it need to re-select
the chip type to correct the problem. We found no problem
with the binary file loading routine, nothing that could change
the chip selected parameters, but something in memory could be messing
up, so, keep it in mind.

By some reason that
even
Microsoft can not explains, their own VB6 Suite generated Installation Package sometimes
crashes or loops during files installation, most of the cases on Windows ME
version. If this is your case, interrupt
the installation process and try to run the Epromer5 or Epromer6 program directly from the
installation directory. If something is missing you can download it from below
on this page. If the software complains about a missing DLL or OCX, you can
find it below, just download, unzip if zipped, move to your C:\Windows or
C:\Windows\System or C:\Windows\System32 directory as stated. In terms, you don't even need to
download the Full-Install package, you can create a new directory, example;
C:\EPROMER5 and copy the EPROMER5N.EXE into, also download the IO.DLL to your
C:\WINDOWS directory. Then run the Epromer5N and see what else it is
complaining, download and install it from this yellow area. Some Windows
already have the DLLs or OCX installed, some don't. It is impossible to know
your actual status. The new Epromer6_1054 package and above seems not presenting
this problem - It was generated under VB6 Suite updated to Service
Pack 5, what seems to have this problem fixed.
Some OCX or DLL require you to
update Windows Registry, to do so, just go to Start, Run and type;
REGSVR32 FILE.OCX or REGSVR32 FILE.DLL
whatever the
case, where "FILE" is the filename, of course.
If you still with problems with
Epromer5 or Epromer6, do a problem determination here: http://www.ustr.net/epromer/pd.htm
